We are delighted to announce that iSunn Tanning Salon will be reopening on Monday 13th July, in line with the official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you back, and we want you to feel confident as you take steps back to normality and resuming your wellbeing routine.
We want to update you on the steps that we at iSunn are taking as a responsible provider of sunbed tanning and spray tans and as Portishead’s only tanning salon accredited by The Sunbed Association.
Providing clean and hygienic facilities has always been a point of pride for us. The salon team regularly sanitise their hands and all contact surfaces including the sunbeds themselves and our spray tan booth (which also has a self-cleaning programme that is initiated after each use).
Our tanning equipment, cubicle surfaces, and sign-in area are always cleaned after each customer has completed their tanning experience. This is in addition to our existing customer guidelines of using the specially formulated antibacterial spray provided in the cubicles to clean the sunbeds before and after use (please do not apply hand sanitiser to the sunbeds – this will damage them).
In addition to our usual procedures, we have put some extra precautions and measures in place:
- Please use the hand-sanitiser at reception on entering and leaving the salon.
- Please keep a distance from other customers and salon staff – ideally 2 metres. Our sunbeds and spray tan machines are located in private cubicles, and we now have markings on the floor to help with distancing.
- Please avoid skin contact with staff and other salon customers. Paying contactless, by card or mobile payments will help minimise contact.
We are also now taking online bookings for our Spray Tan booth to help you plan your visit. We have three Sunbeds in our Portishead salon so we don’t need to take bookings but if you want to call us to check availability, please do.
We will continue to closely follow and monitor official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England together with The Sunbed Association to support the health and well-being of our customers and the salon team.
We know how important it is for your wellbeing to be able to access our salon and other services in order to maintain your routine. For this reason, and to help you minimise contact with other customers, we are delighted to announce that we will return to our full opening hours, Monday – Saturday 9:00am – 8:00pm and on Sunday, 10:00am – 5:00pm.
